About Desana
Leadership
Desana has been the leader in brick rainscreen systems for over a decade. It was Desana that engineered and introduced the first mechanically attached brick rainscreen systems (Corium & Tru-Brix) to the North American market. Desana is pleased to be the industry’s pioneer pushing the envelope of brick rainscreen design, research, and installation. Each of our systems are designed and manufactured to meet the project’s performance requirements, aesthetic considerations, and budgetary objectives.
At Desana we have been singularly focused on bringing the best technology and most user-friendly brick systems to the marketplace. From initial contact to final punch list we work with the building team to the successful completion of the façade installation. From the early stages we help work directly with the architectural team to ensure proper detailing, as well as layout and coursing.
Design Assist
We look at every project as a Design Assist opportunity. Far from dropping materials off at the jobsite, we see our role as bridging the relationship between architect and installer. Our cladding team has more than twenty years of design experience in North America and Europe. They stay abreast of emerging and proven technologies that allow us to present multiple options in achieving the design objectives. We stay close to the design team and provide typical drawings along with job specific solutions long before the project commences.
Our shop drawing package includes a full set of elevations, sections, plans, and details, and subgirt pages, all of which are submitted for comment and approval. 3rd Party Engineering is integral to every project. We work directly with Larson Engineering, one of the country’s leading façade engineering firms for final stamps and calculations. By the time our contractors arrive at the site they will know where every bracket, rail, and brick, is to be located.
Only the Highest Quality Materials
Our expertise includes domestic and international experience in material requirements and performance. DURUS trays are available in 304B stainless steel, Galvalume, and ZAM steel. The production of the trays is subject to regular oversight and quality control procedures to assure dimensional consistency throughout. Aluminum components that make up the subframing for Desana subframing consist of virgin 6063 aluminum and conform to the requirements of AAMA 509-14 and international standards (EN 1090-1:2009+A1:2011) of design and construction analysis for rainscreen wall systems including dedicated water management and energy performance.
